GCC contributor, I usually work on the C++ frontend or the Static Analyzer when I have the time.

I’m starting the PhD preparatory phase (MSc) at the Saarbrücken Graduate School of Computer Science in Germany this October, and I graduated in Computer Science and Engineering from IST Lisbon in July 2026.

I’ve written a couple of compilers from scratch before:
henceforth - a stack-based language in Rust with a custom SSA IR and several middle end optimizations implemented from scratch
fumo-compiler - full C-like language frontend targeting LLVM IR

Outside of programming, I play tenor saxophone (mostly jazz) and do illustration, and I also like finding and drinking new beers I haven’t tried before. I’m fluent in Português, English and 日本語.
